"A Return to Tradition"
...Now Open for Daily Resort Play!
The Golf Club at Gray’s Crossing, a Peter Jacobsen/Jim Hardy designed championship golf course nestled in Truckee, Calif., is now open for daily resort play. This new 2010 offering gives golfers a premier 36-hole mountain golf resort experience, which includes Gray’s Crossing and its sister course, Old Greenwood.
At Gray’s Crossing, golfers will experience “a return to tradition”, as the course meets golf enthusiasts’ demands to play a course with a traditional private club feel. Fast greens and tournament-like conditions await golfers every day. Demanding a combination of creative club choices and tactical strategies, the traditional Jacobsen design reveals his passion for fun, yet challenging play. Towering Lodgepole and Jeffrey Pines line the fairways as the course weaves through a natural mountain surrounding with Mt. Rose as its backdrop. When calculating each shot, the environment plays as much a role as the course.
Also, at Gray’s Crossing, you don’t have to be a member to feel like one. The club prides itself in bringing golfers the highest standards in golf with a professional golf staff, practice facility, tournament conditions, valet service, bag storage and a full caddie program. The caddie program differentiates the course from other courses in the North Lake Tahoe region. Caddies at Gray’s Crossing are not just bag carriers; they are course experts who create a bond between themselves and the players, emphasizing an appreciation for the game and its traditions.
When not on the greens, guests can enjoy perusing the extensive array of merchandise in the Golf Shop, or relax on the dining terrace. The indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar boasts breathtaking panoramic vistas of Mt. Rose, a spacious lawn and patios for relaxing around the fire. Gray's Crossing also prides itself as the second Audubon International Gold Signature Sanctuary in the entire state of California.
